Adapted from my entry for Conceptart.org's Concept Cohesion activity. I liked how my giant dire wolf was turning out, and was annoyed that I had to give it a snake tail and mechanical paws in order to meet the entry requirements. So here's the piece as I would have made it if not for those requirements.

Woo, that's really cool. I like how you colored the fur and made the eyes stand out.

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with the fur effect, which I just sort of stumbled across while working on the piece. Almost certainly use it again next time I need to draw something fluffy.

Hey, with the way the price of gas is going, pretty soon we all might prefer to have giant riding monsters that fill up on squirrels. =)

Thanks! That one was my first piece trying out a different way to do fur, and I think it's much better than the old methods I used.
